About Me

I’m Rachael, a kiwi-Malaysian artist and illustrator based in London. I create both digital and physical artworks — as private commissions and independent works. My independent works are focused on joy and nostalgia. I create digital works using an ipad and stylus; and for physical works, I use a range of mediums including watercolours, ink, graphite, charcoal, and pastel.

Before illustration, I worked at startups applying emerging technologies to solve challenges in food supply chains. Recently, I’ve become interested in how we can use illustration to better communicate complex ideas, and am evolving my practice to include ‘vivid thinking’ and visual communication.
